Hey everyone,
We wanted to share an open update about what’s been happening with Yann’s health and how it’s affecting course production.
The Current Situation
Over the past few weeks, Yann has been dealing with significant fatigue that isn’t responding to his usual coffee fixes—and if you know him, you know he’s tried a lot of coffee! The recent heat in the UK hasn’t helped either.
His sleep has become very fragmented, often limited to a few hours at a time, which makes it difficult to maintain a predictable schedule or consistent energy for focused work. Even on better days, it’s a struggle to stay awake for long stretches.
Part of this is due to a recent diagnosis of hypothyroidism, and we’re still in the process of adjusting the medication to find the right dosage. So the fatigue isn’t just emotional, it has a physical cause that’s actively being treated.
Impact on Course Production
This is directly affecting his ability to create content at the usual pace. Course production requires sustained concentration, energy, and time, all of which are in shorter supply right now. Here’s what that means practically:
Recording Sessions: Currently Yann’s health has meant that no recording sessions have been able to take place. However, we will keep you up-to-date when he is well enough to continue recording.
What’s Being Done
Yann is actively working with his healthcare providers to figure out what’s causing these issues. He’s already had several tests and more are planned. Hopefully, clearer answers will lead to effective treatment soon.
What This Means for You
Current Projects: Work is still progressing, but timelines may be longer than usual. Whilst it isn’t certain yet, Mike has been whetting his teeth on a Godot Asteroids Game, but more on that in another update.
For those who might not have seen the previous updates: Godot 4 Everyone will be the first project to be focused on and the Action RPG after that.
We’ll continue to share updates if there are any major changes.
Moving Forward
Despite these challenges, production will continue just at a pace that respects health first. We’ll do our best to ensure you know what is happening and when.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Your support means a lot, and we’re optimistic that with the right care, Yann will get back to steadier footing soon.
